Italian imaging systems meet Swiss AI software: IMS Giotto and b-rayZ partner to support breast imaging teams from the first image to the final report.

IMS Giotto S.p.A., the Italian manufacturer of mammography and breast biopsy systems and part of GMM Group, and b-rayZ AG, the Swiss developer of AI-powered software for breast imaging, have entered a strategic partnership.

A shared goal
Both companies start from the same belief: that artificial intelligence can support breast imaging teams in their daily work.

“GMM Group with IMS has always believed in artificial intelligence from the very beginning. We believe our products are totally synergistic,” says Monica Sordi, CEO of IMS Giotto S.p.A. Prof. Dr. Cristina Rossi, CEO & Co-Founder, b-rayZ adds:  “This partnership is about supporting breast imaging teams in delivering consistent, high-quality care, with the radiologist in command at every step.”

Why it matters
Breast units manage rising exam volumes while caring for every patient with consistent, high-quality imaging. They need efficient, standardized workflows and partners they can rely on. By combining IMS Giotto’s mammography and biopsy systems with the b-rayZ platform, the partnership supports teams from image acquisition to the final report.

What each partner brings
IMS Giotto contributes its imaging systems, its clinical relationships and an international partner network. b-rayZ contributes a modular, ever-expanding end-to-end platform that combines AI technology and breast imaging expertise for radiographers, radiologists, breast unit managers and IT teams.

What it means for clients
The full b-rayZ portfolio becomes available to IMS Giotto clients, and through IMS Giotto’s partner network, b-rayZ reaches new markets. Throughout, the radiologist stays in command: the platform offers standardized, digital support for breast imaging assessment, with the diagnosis made by a trained specialist.

b-rayZ integrates via industry-standard DICOM and HL7 interfaces and is designed to work with PACS systems that support these standards; compatibility should be confirmed for each specific PACS environment during deployment. Modules are optional; availability may vary by market.
