Zurich, Switzerland – b-rayZ is announcing its strategic alliance with Geneva Trust Polska sp. z o.o., a firm with over two decades of expertise in mammography screening. This partnership is poised to transform breast cancer detection in Poland, where Geneva Trust’s mobile mammography units and clinics conduct more than 25,000 mammograms monthly. Geneva Trust operates 25 modern mammography buses and 3 stationary clinics, delivering life-saving screenings across the country. In 2023, the company’s mammography trailers visited more than 3,000 locations and conducted 210,000 mammograms. This year, the number of mammograms performed is expected to increase to approximately 300,000. The company works closely with the Polish National Health Fund (NFZ), offering free biennial mammograms to women aged 45 to 74, funded by the NFZ.
Despite the efforts to provide accessible mammograms, Poland’s mammography screening participation rate remains low. Currently, only 39% of women have undergone mammography screening, with some regions seeing rates as low as 20%. The Polish Ministry of Health aims to increase this participation rate to 65% by 2025 as part of the Breast Cancer Prevention Program. The collaboration between b-rayZ, Liberum GmbH, and Geneva Trust aims to address the challenges in mammography quality and participation rates by introducing AI-powered solutions that improve the accuracy of breast cancer screening and streamline the process for radiographers.
Andrzej Stencel, President of Geneva Trust, commented on the partnership: “I am very pleased with the collaboration between b-rayZ, Liberum GmbH, and Geneva Trust. Thanks to this partnership, the important parameter of mammography positioning quality will significantly improve. We hope it will make the work of our radiographers easier and assist those still training to become radiology technicians.” He continued, “From the beginning, our efforts have focused on helping women take care of their health. Performing the highest quality mammograms is crucial in this regard, as breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Together, we have a better chance to invent new products that could significantly contribute to breast cancer prevention programs.”
Cristina Rossi, CEO of b-rayZ, also shared her enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are excited to partner with Geneva Trust to help improve breast cancer screening accessibility and quality in Poland. With our AI-driven platform, we aim to optimize mammogram quality while supporting radiographers with efficient and accurate tools. This partnership marks a milestone in our mission to ensure that women everywhere receive the highest quality breast cancer treatment, regardless of location.”
By working together, b-rayZ and Geneva Trust will be able to implement advanced technologies that not only increase the number of women undergoing breast cancer screening but also improve the overall quality and accuracy of mammograms, all while optimizing the workflow of the units. This partnership is set to play a vital role in achieving Poland’s national goals for breast cancer prevention.
